The 44 gallon Trash Bags would be appropriate. After comparing the physical dimensions listed for a number of Garbage Bags on Amazon and elsewhere and measuring the 44 gallon Yard Waste Bags we bought, these black trash bags were pretty much the only ones wide enough to fit over the top of the can properly.
